Polar and Non Polar molecules
Polar and nonpolar molecules are very different. For a molecule to be polar it has to have a neutral charge, positive and negative poles, and strong attractions. For a molecule to be non polar is has to have a neutral charge, no dipoles, and weak attractions. Also, molecules that are polar have bonds that are polar and the molecule is symmetric. Water is a very polar molecule. Water can dissove some ionic compounds called salts by seperating them. Molecules that are polar and have dipoles will align with and electric field.
