Flame Test Lab

So in class we did the Flame Test lab. Everyone went around the different lab tables and saw all of the different colors of flames. The flames colors were determined on what the substance was that was under it. My favorite reaction was the green flame made with copper. The colors ranged from red-violet which are the colors in the spectrum. Once we determined which elements produced which color of flames, we were asked to find unknown substances by matching the colors of the flame to the elements we already knew.
