Chemistry Homework

We did a paper of Time of Radioactive Decay for homework. It was about how half lives and radioactive decay works. A half life is the time required for half of the original sample of nuclei to decay. In today's world, scientists and archeologists use Carbon-14 that has a half life of 5700 years to determine dates from which artifacts, rocks, and other substances or items are from. One half life is 1/2, two is 1/4, three is 1/8, four is 1/16, and so on. This lab really helped to put the subject in perspective for me and allowed me to really understand.
