We learned a lot about acids and bases. They are on the pH scale and bases have high pH's while acids have low pH's, and a pH of 7 is neutral. There is a calculation for the pH and it is pH= -log[H+]. We also learned a lot of equations for molarity, parts per hundred, parts per million, percent solution, and dilution. These equations were used throughout the green packet where we had to solve them using different circumstances. For instance we had to find the molarity of an NaOH solution when there was a sample of 15 mL of NaOH that was titrated using .3 molarity HCl. It took 43.5 mL of the HCl solution to neutralize the sample. We got that the molarity of the solution was .87 M of NaOH.
