Connect the Dots

Connect the dots was a worksheet that expressed why atoms connect to eachother and the way the do. We were introduced to a tool called the Lewis Dot symbols which helped us in building molecules and predicting how many bonds each element would have and make. I noticed a pattern that all of the elements in the same columns have the same number of bonds available and same amount of lone pairs. The group number determines the number of bonds. The group number + the number of bonds equals 8.
